UPCOMING EXHIBITION:

Patrice Morard at ARTMUC Munich 2026
Patrice Morard will be presented by Galería Gaudí at ARTMUC International Art Fair, taking place in Munich from 23 to 25 October 2026. Held at the MTC Locations on Ingolstädter Straße, ARTMUC is Bavaria’s largest hybrid art fair, bringing together an international selection of contemporary artists, galleries and creative projects across painting, sculpture, photography, digital art and other disciplines. Patrice Morard’s presentation at the fair offers an opportunity to encounter his figurative painting within an international contemporary art context, further introducing his work and longstanding artistic practice to collectors, curators and audiences in Germany and beyond.

Three Centered Artworks
At ARTMUC International Art Fair, Patrice Morard’s presentation will centre on three key works belonging to the 2000s series: Swimming Pool, Ascend and Waiter. Together, the paintings offer a focused introduction to the artist’s figurative practice, bringing distinct subjects and visual atmospheres into dialogue within the context of the fair. Their presentation provides collectors, curators and visitors with an opportunity to encounter Patrice Morard’s work through a selection that reflects the breadth and character of his longstanding artistic practice.

About The Artist
At the centre of Patrice Morard’s practice is the human figure, explored through colour, staging, narrative, spirituality and psychological tension. Born in Fribourg in 1951, the Swiss figurative painter has developed a distinctive visual language through decades of independent practice, observation and studio experience. His work brings reality and imagination into dialogue, evolving from the poetic, mystical and richly coloured paintings of the 1980s toward increasingly cinematic, theatrical and psychologically charged compositions. Across his career, major exhibitions and critical recognition, including his 1995 exhibition at the Musée de l’Athénée in Geneva, have established a coherent body of work concerned with human relationships, solitude, desire, uncertainty and the sacred.
