Beneath the towering trees, life slows down. Figures gather in the shade, a dog keeps watch, and a red roof appears through the foliage. Everything seems peaceful. Yet nothing is said of what brought them there, or what might happen next.
A suspended moment of childhood. Toys are scattered, the landscape opens in the distance, yet every gaze seems to tell a different story. A family scene where innocence, elegance and mystery quietly coexist.

A dense gathering of elegantly dressed figures unfolds within an opulent interior, where glances, gestures and proximity create a complex network of human relationships. Patrice Morard transforms the social event into an almost cinematic and theatrical composition, balancing elegance with an underlying sense of psychological tension. The Ball demonstrates his early fascination with social ritual, observation and the hidden narratives of a crowd.
